Cape Town’s newest delicatessen & restaurant, SMAK literally puts lower Bree Street on the map for the city’s foodie lovers.
SMAK is the brainchild of two young chefs, Katia Scherf and Devin Hogan, who combined their individual expertise in pastry and local ingredients to create a fusion inspired menu using only the finest produce Cape Town has to offer.
Both Katia and Devin gained priceless experience training at The Test Kitchen and have both studied and worked overseas to bring a global flavour to the menu at SMAK.
SMAK is an ideal environment for businessmen and women to have a lunch meeting or for friends to meet for coffee and breakfast.
The SMAK concept allows customers to enjoy a leisurely meal in the heart of Cape Town but for those in a rush, the go-to gourmet sandwich bar is a quick and easy fix.
The SMAK deli display is filled with local and imported cold meats and cheeses with freshly baked breads to complement the array. SMAK also offers homemade patisseries to indulge in.
