#FashionWeek: #PFW – Loewe Spring Summer 2017 by Jonathan William Anderson

Loewe’s SS17 showcase at Paris Fashion Week came as a surprise like for me. I wasn’t too sure what to expect and I think that was part of the magic. The bulk of the magic came in the form of squeezed waistlines with extended details. The over-sized jackets and somewhat slouchingly-fitting dresses also made a quaint appearance in my heart. I enjoyed the subtle colour scheme, with predominantly neutrals reigning supreme and a good dose of pastel hues coming through here and there. The pleats and tassels look like great fun but I think ultimately, this collections strongest point is its reformed hourglass shape. It’s modern, it’s high-fashion, it’s pret-a-porter. It also happens to be rather futuristic.

SIDEBAR: The OVERSIZE everything – bags + jackets + jewellery – we are loving the size does matter attitude and appreciate it for what it’s bringing to us; attitude, sex appeal, fun factor.
